Ever since my first time I lay eyes on Antoni Gaudi’s work in Barcelona, I felt in love. For those who haven’t visited the famous cathedral Sagrada Familia, you still have time. About 144 years after what Gaudi started this amazing architecture, the cathedral will be completed in 2026. I love many Gaudi’s buildings in Barcelona, particularly in favor of La Pedrera (Casa Milà) and Casa Batlló. The latter has bone shaped columns inserted to the balconies and the dramatic roof design of dragon’s back. Antoni Gaudi drew inspiration from nature and its organic elements with touches of fantasy. Casa Batllo partly inspired our jewelry brand name, Lacey Bones. I love the way Gaudi’s balance of architectural elements…decorative, rustic and yet modern.

What an inspiring trip we had to the Komodo Island, Indonesia.
Plenty to do and see. Besides dragon watching (beware, one might even walk along the path close to you), scuba diving to check out gorgeous sea life and not to forget the shimmering pink sand beach. Sparkle like pieces of jewelry, you can enjoy what the nature provides us with a relaxing afternoon. Not to mention the great find of pearls from the local fishermen, we have bought some beautiful pearls in various shades of grey, and pinks.
Glorious gray color pearls from Komodo Island are the centerpiece of these graceful earrings, sway within sparkly oval frame and engraved silver beads.
Why you love these: Unique color pearls, an update from the classic!

Bali was etched in my memory from the very first visit. I was ready to move there and set up my fashion and art studio many years ago. Jewelry designer John Hardy inspired me!
Couple of weeks ago, I found myself back in Bali, gathering my own jewelry design inspiration from this creative and spiritual place. I once read that ‘the language of Bali does not recognize the word ‘artist’, but one could say that art is simply a part of everyday life. Most People in Bali are able to create some form of art. Most of these objects are a type of religious offering and can be seen throughout cities, temples, homes and workplaces.’
No objects are too small that are created with an artistic eye and hand by the Balinese. For more, take a look at http://instagram.com/laceybonesjewelry,
